Unfortunately periodontal disease is difficult to cure and manage. However the very early stages of this disease is gingivitis and the moment this is diagnosed you should start taking steps to eliminate the gingivitis so your condition does not continue on to periodontitis. At the very worst stages of periodontal disease your teeth will begin to become very loose.

Dentists agree that gum disease is one of the more dangerous oral ailments that a person can acquire. It is a terrible disease that if left untreated can result in many problems including: bleeding gums, soreness and tooth loss. Additionally, a person who leaves their gum disease untreated may develop more serious diseases as a result.

If this disease in any form is not treated properly, then a person can face a very unhappy outcome.
