Alcoholism has left a very strong imprint in the social structure of California. This fact can be reiterated from the number of alcohol and drug related arrests made in the state regularly. However, there is a silver lining in these dark clouds in that many alcoholics have started realizing a need for seeking help and the society is also chipping in with their own contributions.
