Cosmetic surgeons help thousands of patients regain their youthful eyes through eyelid surgery, also called blepharoplasty, every year. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons keeps track of these numbers and recently reported that eyelid surgery was one of the top five cosmetic surgical procedures from 2000-2008, with 221,398 procedures being performed in 2008 alone.
